Mark Bulger
Quarterback Marc Bulger leads the Rams high-powered offense. Last season, he guided St. Louis to a playoff victory over Seattle. The five-year NFL veteran out of the University of West Virginia is regarded as one of the top young quarterbacks in the league. In 2004, he earned the Rams Most Valuable Player Award, as voted on by his teammates.

Torry Holt
Bulger’s favorite target is wide receiver Torry Holt. The electric “Big Game” Holt has demonstrated remarkable consistency since entering the league in 1999. Last season, Holt became the first player in NFL history to have five consecutive 1,300-yard receiving seasons. Holt's career receptions and receiving yards already rank third in in team history.

Walt Jocketty For the second consecutive season, the Cardinals have posted the best record in baseball. The architect of the team is General Manager Walt Jocketty. The 2004 Baseball Executive of the Year had a very busy off-season prior to 2005. He upgraded the starting pitching staff by acquiring Mark Mulder in a trade with Oakland. He also brought in a new middle infield duo of David Eckstein and Mark Grudzielanek. All three have been key contributors to this season’s team success. |
David Eckstein
Eckstein faced a difficult challenge replacing long-time shortstop Edgar Renteria. The scrappy little lead-off hitter has been a sparkplug for the offense all season. He quickly became a fan favorite after joining the Cardinals from the Anaheim Angels. Eckstein’s hustle, clutch hitting and steady defense have been invaluable to the 2005 Cards.

Chris Carpenter Carpenter was the starting pitcher for the National League in the 2005 All-Star Game. This season, he became a 20-game winner for the first time in his career. Carpenter ranked among the league leaders in wins, innings, earned run average and strikeouts making him one of the favorites to win the Cy Young Award.
