“The leader,” “Smokey” and “Dag” are returning to St. Louis. If you missed the Rat Pack in 1965, here’s your opportunity to see a legend come back to life.
As a tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., the Apollos will present “Wild, Cool and Swingin’ – The Apollos Salute the Rat Pack,” on Friday, Nov. 18. In the concert, these three will be portrayed as visitors to the M.A.C. 40 years ago, after their performance at the Kiel Opera House.
Enjoy the Apollos Fall Show in the Missouri Room at the Downtown Clubhouse, which will be transformed into an elegant dinner-theater setting for the concert. The awaited evening will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails (cash bar), followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m.
To keep the evening “swingin’” the Apollos will feature some of the Rat Pack’s well-known songs, including: “Who Can I Turn to,” “Strangers in the Night,” “Me and My Shadow,” “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime,” “One for My Baby” and “I Have Dreamed.”
Every year the Apollos practice weekly for the presentation of two concerts. The singing group, of about 90 members, has existed for over 60 years, making the longest running M.A.C. Club within the Club (CWC).
The Apollos concert is already sold out, but call the Catering Department now at 314-539-4470 to reserve a spot in case there are any cancellations. For only $24.95, don’t miss the chance to see the Rat Pack back in action.
