Out and About with M.A.C. Cherry Hatters
Every woman has her own beliefs and approaches to life. Every woman is different.
Discover how the country's many first ladies have viewed and embraced their roles differently as America's leading lady. Make the journey with a group that embraces womanly distinctions: The M.A.C. Cherry Hatters. The red-hatted ladies will head to the History Museum's First Ladies Exhibit on Saturday, March 25.
Take a break and have some fun with the M.A.C. Cherry Hatters. Step into the life of a first lady while browsing at artifacts such as Julia Grant's bodice and shoe. Discover how the political role and public life of a first lady has evolved over the past 200 years with glimpses of campaign buttons, wedding invitations and media photographs.
The group plans to meet at the West clubhouse's lower parking lot on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Cherry Hatters will head to the museum and stay to lunch at Meriwether's, the museum cafe.
The M.A.C. Cherry Hatters have no committee meetings or stressful obligations; they just want to have fun. There's just one rule: Everyone must wear a red (or pink) hat. Ladies over 50 should wear red, and women 49 and under should wear pink. For more information, call Eileen Hulsey with questions, 314-966-8834, or e-mail her at emhulsey@swbell.net.
The M.A.C. Cherry Hatters are official members of the Red Hat Society.
