Five New Board Members Elected by M.A.C. Voters

On Thursday, May 4, Missouri Athletic Club members selected five new governors to three-year terms on the Board of Governors.
Elected were W. Thomas Chulick, Edward A. Corich, Margaret J. May, Philip “Flip” Schwarz and William A. Springer. Chulick is Senior Vice-President at the Private Bank of America; Corich is a retired airline pilot; May is Founder/Principal with Champion4Fitness, LLC; Schwarz is Customer Acquisition and Retention Manager with Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company; and Springer is Senior Vice-President with Enterprise Bank & Trust.
The five new governors will succeed outgoing President Michael J. Hackett, First Vice President Bert M. Linton, Second Vice-President Dr. Melvin E. Witt, Treasurer John G. Gatewood and Secretary Stephen M. Coleman. |

Start the Season Swingin'
The M.A.C. Golf Club hosts tournament
This Friday, May 12, the M.A.C. Golf Club is hosting its first member/guest golf tournament at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club.
Game-day registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and play begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Lunch will be provided, and cocktails will be served after the round. All members and guests are welcome, but the tournament is limited to 36 teams, so sign up now!
The tournament will be fully handicapped and in two-person best ball format. The winner of each division, as well as a wild card, will go on to a four-hole shootout to determine the winner. Prizes will be awarded to the longest drive and closest to pin.
Price is $250 per team for M.A.C. Golf Club members and $275 for non-Golf Club members. |

St. Louis' own jazz singer Erin Bode has performed nationwide at famous venues, such as New York's Sweet Rhythm, and toured internationally in Italy.
Now, she's coming home to entertain you at an intimate venue in your own clubhouse. Head to the Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous Room on Friday, May 19, for an exclusive dinner with the Erin Bode Group. In 2006, this will be the only time the acclaimed singer will perform at the M.A.C.

M.A.C. Wine Society hosts a
wine dinner

Add some variety to your Friday evening. On Friday, May 19, the M.A.C. Wine Society is hosting an exclusive wine dinner in the Art Lounge.
The fun starts at 7 p.m. with a cocktail reception (by subscription only). Nibble on gourmet hors d'oeuvres, including assorted cold canapes and grilled vegetable antipasto. At 8 p.m., after mingling with friends, it'll be time to feast

Send in Donation Forms Today The Club's April statement contains a donation form from the M.A.C. Charitable Society. Don't forget to give a tax-deductible donation today! Gifts can be as low as $1 a month and will be added to your M.A.C. statement. Send the form back in the mail or drop it off in the clubhouse. All proceeds benefit the M.A.C.'s 2006 charities: Edgewood Children's Center, The Children's Home Society and Children's Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis.
Apollos Happy Hour The M.A.C. Apollos are activley seeking new members. On Monday, May 15, they want everyone to attend a complimentary happy hour. Free drinks and hors d'oevres will be provided. The festivities begin at 6 p.m., in the Apollos Room on the 10th floor.
Attention Basketball Fans Don't miss this one-time opportunity to meet members of the St. Louis Hawks 1957-58 NBA championship team. Bob Pettit, Ed Macauley and Cliff Hagan will make a special trip to the Club to meet members.
