Dr. Dolittle
, a Musical for Everyone

Show your kids how to have fun outside of DVDs,video games and interactive toys. Head to the Fox Theatre for Dr. Dolittle the musical on Thursday, May 25.

Dr. Dolittle is a glorious fairytale that makes an effective connection between children and animals. Ann Hould-Ward (The Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods) designed costumes that actually capture the souls of the animals. Based on the original book’s (by Hugh Lofting) illustrations, Ward created different styles of puppetry to imitate the drawings. Actors playing fully realized animals, hand puppets, marionettes and enormous flying animals give the theatre a magical touch.

The enchanting songs and dances, ornate costumes and energetic actors bring the fictional story to life. Tony Award winner Tommy Tune gives the veterinarian Dr. Dolittle a vivacious love for animals that has captivated audiences across the United States. The charming score includes "When I Look in Your Eyes," "I've Never Seen Anything Like It" and the Academy Award-winning song "Talk to the Animals."

Dr. Dolittle is more than an extraordinary adventure; the fanciful tale conveys an important message for children and adults alike: Animals are soulful creatures and have feelings too. Don’t miss this miraculous evening full of magnificent animals and courageous humans.

Thursday's show begins at 5:45 p.m. at the Jack Buck Grille. Choose to enjoy dinner before the show for $125 or purchase the tickets alone for $47.50 each. The $125 tickets include dinner and transportation to the Fox on the M.A.C. shuttle. To order tickets, please call 314-539-4402.
