Seven Foolproof Ways to Get Your Friends to Join the M.A.C.
|
issouri Athletic Club guests can’t possibly understand the camaraderie that bonds M.A.C. members. They’re not here to celebrate league championship basketball games or to ride through that final "hill" during spinning class.
With four restaurants, two clubhouses and dozens of events, your friends will want to make the M.A.C. part of their lives as well. If you’ve been telling friends how special the M.A.C. is to you, try making a deeper impression. Here’s seven ways to show them how great the Club is:
One – Wine and dine them
Whether you take them to a lunch buffet or gourmet dinner, they’ll be impressed with the quality of food and service at the M.A.C. The Sportsman’s Club and Stan Musial Grille offer a workday setting to get you out of “office mode” on your lunch break. The Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous Room and West Dining Room provide a more elegant backdrop for a fine evening meal.
Two – Coordinate a tour
Once people see the two clubhouses and all they have to offer, it’s hard to resist becoming a member. After lunch, take a few minutes to show them around. Book them a tour downtown with John Standbrook, 314-539-4485, or West with Julie Kueper, 314-539-4408.
Three – Show them a good time
The M.A.C. has many fun, unique events every year, and guests are almost always welcome. Take friends to an Evening with Davidoff on Thursday, May 25, the Cardinals game with the Associates on Friday, June 30, or an upcoming Fox Theatre show. Guests will be impressed with the food, entertainment and service offered at the Club.
Four – Have fun in the sun
Summer is on its way. On Saturday, May 27, the West pool will reopen for the summer season. The pool is the perfect place to host a guest. Cool off with a smoothie from the M.A.C. Poolside Café or grab some lunch at the Stan Musial Grille. Members can only bring four guests each visit, so plan accordingly. Guests are limited to three visits each, so your friends will have to become members to continue enjoying the M.A.C. pool.
Five – Be the host
Book your child’s birthday party at the M.A.C. pool or host the next company meeting in one of downtown’s 18 elegant dining or meeting rooms. This is a great way to introduce business associates and/or fellow parents to the Club. If you book a Friday summer event at the Club before Thursday, June 1, you'll receive 10 percent off. Call the Catering Office for more information, 314-539-4470.
Six – Enroll your kids in Sports Camp
Cure your children’s summer boredom and send them to Camp M.A.C. This is a good way to show their friends all the Club has to offer. Enroll your children in the camp, and they’ll do all of the work. Your kids probably won’t want to attend the camp alone, so they’ll tell their friends about it. Next thing you know, you’ll have parents calling to ask how to enroll their kids in Camp M.A.C. Since guest rates are higher than member prices, they will want to join to get more for their money.
Seven – Show them what we’re all about: athletics
Athletics is the Club’s middle name. Guests will be impressed with the Club’s state-of-art facilities when you take him/her to play a tennis or racquetball match at West. Relax in the sauna after the game, and friends will understand the true meaning of first class. Or, take friends outside the Club to show them what a M.A.C. membership means to the St. Louis community: discounted rates at nine area golf courses. The M.A.C. is affiliated with nine public and private golf courses spread across the metro area. These courses will certainly exceed the needs of any golfer.
With two clubhouses, an outdoor and indoor pool, various fitness classes, tennis courts, four restaurants, dozens of events and much more, the M.A.C. is truly a great value. Right now is a great time to get friends, family and business associates to join the Club. With exciting membership promotions, joining now is both easy and affordable. |
