Free Adult Swimming Clinic
Take your swimming to the next level. Learn to improve your speed by fine tuning your technique. Whether you're training for a race or just want to be a better swimmer, this swimming clinic is for you.
On Saturday, June 24, members Daniel Vaterott and Mike Sappington will teach a freestyle stroke clinic from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. This class, held at the downtown pool, is designed for the adult swimmer who is already swimming laps on a regular basis. Through the clinic, swimmers will improve their stroke mechanics and body position in the water. Regular swimmers will benefit from this class because with an improved technique, they will be able to swim farther without feeling exhausted.
Instructors Vaterott and Sappington are both experienced coaches. Vaterott has been a swim coach for many years, and Sappington, a former swim coach, still competes in the U.S. Master Swimming.
There is no charge for the clinic, but it is open to adults only. Contact Mike Sappington, 314-522-0985, with questions ad reservations. Special thanks to Jeff Tuhro and the Athletic Committee for all of their support.
