St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay signs a proclamation that dedicates June 16, 2006, to the members of the 1956 Stockham American Legion Baseball Team. Fifty years ago, the Stockham baseball team won the national championship. Members of that team, as well as other Stockham players, meet at the M.A.C. every week.
