Give Yourself a Break
Noon yoga class starts downtown on August 28

It's a typical Monday: The phones are ringing and your head is spinning. After the chaos of the morning, imagine letting it all go at a noon yoga class. Downtown's eight-week lunch hour yoga session, back for the fall, is the perfect solution to Monday morning tension. You'll also get a great workout.
Despite common misconceptions, yoga is very challenging. Even the toughest body builders may have a hard time holding a warrior pose or doing a back bend. Although it can be intense, yoga is wonderfully calming because every pose requires intense concentration; your mind can't wander.
It's surprising what yoga can help your body accomplish. It strengthens and lengthens muscles, improves balance and increases flexibility. You will marvel at your ability to balance on one leg or touch your toes at the end of eight weeks. Yoga is for everyone. Body builders looking to stretch out their muscles, businessmen looking for ways to relax and athletes recovering from injuries can all benefit from yoga.
Give yoga a try at the downtown clubhouse, beginning Monday, Aug. 28. Classes will be held every Monday from noon to 1 p.m. (Class will not be held on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4). Space is limited, so call Rick Schneider at 314-539-4434 to sign up now. The eight-week session only costs $50, and you'll be taking important steps toward sustaining quality of life, preventing injuries and burning calories. |
