The Missouri Athletic Club’s Board needs your input. To help focus their efforts on the right priorities, the M.A.C. Board has begun a major strategic planning initiative, starting with a Member and Spouse Survey. This is the most important contribution you'll make to your Club all year, and it will only take 15 minutes of your time!

The Missouri Athletic Club’s Member and Spouse Survey is being mailed to you this week. You should receive it in a few days. However, if you would rather take the survey online, you can do it right now! As an incentive for you to share your feedback, five $100 dining certificates will be awarded in a random drawing held after the Sept. 20 deadline. If you wish to participate in the drawing, please include your name and club number in the space provided at the end of the survey. (Attaching your name/number is optional, and not required to participate in the survey).
M.A.C. Joins St. Louis' Celebration of Soccer
The Missouri Athletic Club has presented college soccer's version of the Heisman Trophy since 1986. Some of the biggest names in American soccer like Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly, Cindy Parlow, Alexi Lalas, Tony Meola and Claudia Reyna have been awarded the prestigious crystal soccer ball trophy at the M.A.C.

The annual awards banquet is traditionally held in January. This year, the presentation of the 2006 M.A.C.'s Hermann Trophy is moving to the campus of Saint Louis University to coincide with the College Cup weekend.

New Membership Initiation Fees and Dues Structure
The Membership Committee and Board of Governors have approved a new initiation fees and dues structure, effective Sept. 1, 2006. The new structure is outlined here for your review. Please share this information with your neighbors, friends, family and business associates.

With two clubhouses, four restaurants and countless social activities, the Missouri Athletic Club provides members with an unparalleled value in the St. Louis metro region. If you know someone who is interested in a M.A.C. membership, please contact Julie Kueper 314-539-4408 or stop by either the Downtown or West clubhouse for further information.

Join a Club Within the Club
Expand your member experience

With more than 3,500 members, the Missouri Athletic Club's collective membership has a lot of hobbies. Whether it's golf, antique cars or acts of charity, the M.A.C. has a Club Within the Club (CWCs) to fit almost any interest.

If you do not already belong to a CWC, consider joining one to strengthen your bond with the M.A.C. CWCs are a great way to meet new friends, network with associates and just have a good time. Many Clubs Within the Club sponsor their own events, from cigar dinners to book signings.

Will You Have this Dance?
Take a trip to the Casa Loma Ballroom
Dance into a bygone era at the historic Casa Loma Ballroom. The grand St. Louis ballroom has hosted just about everybody who was anybody, including Frank Sinatra himself. Today, one gets the feeling that the ghosts of the big bands and the vocalists still linger there — and with good reason.

The M.A.C. Dinner Dance Club is hosting an evening at the Casa Loma Ballroom on Friday, Sept. 22.

Donation to M.A.C. Charitable Society The Toastmasters started a new trend. After making a donation to the Charitable Society a couple of months ago, the Breakfast Network, another quality CWC, decided to donate $150 to the Charitable Society this year! Breakfast Club Chairman Greg Nooney announced the generous donation today at a Club Life meeting.

September Dining Special Dine at the Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous Room Tuesday though Friday during the month of September, and you will be entered into a drawing of all the reservations in attendance for the evening. If you are the lucky diner, you will receive a complimentary dinner for a maximum of four guests (all beverages excluded). So relax, enjoy great food and we may pick up your tab.

The Entrepreneur Support Club aims to motivate, educate and support entrepreneurs through the sometimes lonely and stressful road. They are looking for entrepreneurs who are interested in meeting on a Monday morning once a month at M.A.C. West. The intent of this group is to interact with other entrepreneurs to get their perspectives, ideas, insights and support. For more information, contact Keith Vidal at 314-205-0088 or kvidal@vidaleng.com.
