Erin Bode Heads to the Club Catch Bode live in the JBG on Friday, Oct.6
For the past few Fridays, the Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous Room has resembled a New York jazz club. Live music has fueled the atmosphere as onlookers enjoy jazzy tunes and a three-course meal and/or drink specials. This Friday, Oct. 6, from 7 to 10 p.m., the well known Erin Bode, will give a warm, honest performance at the M.A.C. If you've ever seen her live, you know her performances make a lasting impression. For an unforgettable evening, make plans now to see Bode live at the Missouri Athletic Club's Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous Room.

Betty Kohlbrecher has Friends … Many Friends
Betty has been a stalwart in the Barber Shop for many years. Now as she battles cancer, a double whammy of lost income and high health insurance premiums have drained her finances. To help her through this rough patch, more than 75 of her former customers contributed almost $10,000 to a group fund dubbed “Friends of Betty.” On Sept. 14, Barber Shop Manager Ron Overmann and I met with Betty and delivered the checks. She was deeply moved by the show of support and said it gives her renewed strength.

In all likelihood, Betty will not return to barbering, choosing instead to devote herself to making a full recovery and spending time with family. Whatever she does, she remains part of our M.A.C. family.
