M.A.C. Presents College Soccer’s Top Honor
Head to St. Louis University on Saturday, Dec. 2
On Saturday, Dec. 2, find out who will be recognized as college soccer’s top player at the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy Banquet. The event continues to grow in prestige and media exposure. This year, the banquet will be held on the same weekend as the men’s College Cup final four on the campus of Saint Louis University at the Busch Student Center.

The M.A.C. has been the home of college soccer’s version of the Heisman Trophy since 1986. Over the years, some of the biggest names in American soccer have been presented the prestigious crystal soccer ball trophy. Mia Hamm, Kristin Lilly, Alexi Lalas, Tony Meola and Claudio Reyna all won the award prior to achieving international success.

“The vision of the founding Board of Governors who created this has been realized as the Awards are the most important collegiate award for both men and women,” said Steve Krause, M.A.C. Soccer Chairman. “The M.A.C. Hermann Trophy has risen to prominence as it caps off the end of the Division I season each year with the announcement of the three finalists on ESPN at the Final Fours and then with the nationally televised press conference from the Missouri Athletic Club.”

Division I college soccer coaches select the winners. The top three male and female finalists will be invited to St. Louis for the banquet.

Make plans now to be a part of this great M.A.C. tradition and a celebration of American soccer. Experience the drama and excitement when the winners are announced at a live press conference. Enjoy cocktail hour, a fabulous meal and an outstanding event program. Make reservations by calling 314-539-4430. The price is $60 per person, which includes a three-course dinner and gratuity. The press conference begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the cocktail hour, dinner at 7 p.m. and the program at 8 p.m.
