M.A.C. Holiday Gift Ideas
Part of the Missouri Athletic Club's job is to make your life easier. This holiday season, the M.A.C. knows you want to avoid the crowded shopping malls. That's why the Club has plenty of unique gift ideas right here in your very own Club. Give your wife a pampering package of a massage and pedicure or get your daughter a new racquet and lessons with a pro. Spend an afternoon at the M.A.C. and get half of your shopping done right here in your own clubhouse! Your loved ones will be tickled when they see the unique gifts you came up with.
 Stogies: Give a smokin’ treat to a special guy (or gal). The Front Desk has the best selection of cigars in town. Choose from a wide assortment of delicious smokies for a great stocking stuffer or an excellent post-Christmas dinner treat.
 Membership: Give the gift of the M.A.C. to your kids, friends or family members. Associate memberships are especially affordable for the younger people in your life. With two clubhouses, dozens of events, several dining facilities and hundreds of programs, the M.A.C. is a terrific value. M.A.C. member David McNutt thought memberships were such an unbeatable deal he bought his three children and future daughter-in-law all memberships of their own. For a Diamond Club Membership, it only costs $50 a month for ages 21-25 (initiation fee, $100); $100 a month for ages 26-30 (initiation fee, $175) and $225 a month + $24 Capital Fee for ages 31-34 (initiation fee, $250). You can also choose an A la Carte membership for $150 a month + $24 Capital fee (initiation fee, $150). Here are just a few ways gift certificates can be used:
 Barber Shop Specialties: Give the gift of beauty. Encourage your dad or mom to use a gift certificate for a relaxing pedicure ($50), manicure ($25) or facial massage ($28) available in the Barber Shop. The pedicure throne offers a relaxing massage while the customer's feet are soaked, massaged and pampered. Anyone will walk easier after that kind of treatment! The Barber Shop staff will even provide reading material and a drink of choice. Also available at the Barber Shop are shoe shines, Paraffin wax treatments, facials, shaves, haircuts, scalp massages and color treatments.  Massage: This year, give the gift of relaxation and overall health. Gift certificates can be used for massages at both clubhouses. M.A.C. massage therapists are trained to relieve aches, pains and promote relaxation. In recent years research has shown that massage can help reduce blood pressure, decrease the perception of pain, stimulate the production of red and white blood cells, reduce the duration of headaches and much more.

 Dining: Gift certificates can be used at any dining facility for specialty brunches or a fancy meal out at the Jack Buck Grille or M.A.C. West’s Dining Room.
 Personal Training: If someone you know needs a little extra help with a workout routine, give him/her a gift certificate for a personal trainer. Personal training is $38.50 per hour and a great way to maximize workout sessions and achieve fitness goals. Gift certificates can also be used for squash, tennis, basketball or racquetball lessons (prices vary).  Pro Shop Items: Members can use gift certificates to buy athletic gear at either of the clubhouses' Pro Shops. Buy your favorite M.A.C. apparel, such as jackets, T-shirts or running pants, during the Pro Shops’ annual Christmas Sale. From Monday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 17, the Pro Shops will offer 15 percent off. The M.A.C. also offers name brands, such as Champion, Polo and Fairway & Greene, at prices 10 to 20 percent cheaper than at department stores. Stop by the Pro Shops for some great holiday bargains.
