Battle of the Sexes for a Good Cause
Guy vs. Gal … Old vs. Young … Arthritic vs. Bum Knees … However you view the challenge, you have a chance to make a difference.

THE SITUATION:
Two M.A.C. Governors, David Pentland and Margaret May are going  head to head in a tennis competition reminiscent of the Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King tennis matches a few decades ago.

The event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 31, commencing at 5:30 p.m. at M.A.C. West. Courtside viewing for heckling, cheering, jeering or just having a few laughs will be conveniently located on the tennis courts adjacent to the bar. Adult beverages and food will be served.

Pentland thinks he has it in the bag since May just had her knees scoped in November and won’t be too fast on her feet. May, on the other hand, has the age advantage in her court.

THE CHALLENGE FOR A GOOD CAUSE: Who will win? You decide. To make this a little more fun, Governors May and Pentland have chosen their favorite charitable organization the M.A.C. Charitable Society supports and are asking you to donate what ever amount you please to support who you will think will win. The winner’s charitable organization will receive all the proceeds raised.

Pentland thinks he will win, and the proceeds pledged for him to win will go to his charitable choice of Children's Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis. May has chosen The Children's Home Society as her charitable organization and assures the members she is going to beat the old fart for all of the proceeds to go to her charity.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?
If you cannot make it to the Club but want to join in the fun for a good cause, please e-mail a message to this link: thechef@mac-stl.org. Please provide your name, your club number to be charged for your charitable contribution, the amount of your contribution and your vote for the person whom you think will win.

Otherwise, show up to the M.A.C. West on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 p.m. and place your contributions either in the May or Pentland collection baskets.

See you courtside ...
