"Stomp" to the Fox or See the "Light"
This Valentine's Day, do something a little different for your sweetie. The M.A.C. has two Fox Theatre outings around Valentine's Day: "Light in the Piazza" on Thursday, Feb. 8 and "Stomp" on Friday, Feb. 16. The evening comes complete with a three-course meal, shuttle to the Fox and glass of wine. If you really want to make the evening special, book a room at the M.A.C. for the special Valentine's rate. As always, tickets are going quickly, and there's only four left for "Light in the Piazza." Call Courtney at 314-539-4402 to book tickets now!

Light in the Piazza is the winner of six 205 Tony Awards, including Best Score. The romantic, new musical, based on an adaptation of Elizabeth Spencer's novella, is about Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara's vacation in the 1953 Tuscan countryside. Clara meets a handsome Florentine named Fabrizio and a romance blossoms. However, Fabrizio speaks little English and Clara has a secret that would make love a dangerous proposition. This lush tale of true love is an ideal gift for your sweetie this Valentine's Day.

If you're looking for something more abstract, Stomp is the way to go. A mix of music, dance, theatre, choreography and performance art, Stomp celebrates the movement of life. There's no speech, no dialogue or even a plot. What Stomp is is a symphony of the abstract. Using everyday objects in non-traditional ways, the cast creates an unforgettable show. Born on the streets of Brighton, England, Stomp's creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, were a group of street performers commonly known as "buskers." Busking is an old custom in the UK, dating back to village fairs in the Middle Ages, which the pair reinvented for their own street performance.

Obtaining Fox tickets through the M.A.C. guarantees you the best seats at the best price. Tickets are $125 per person and include a three-course dinner, with your choice of a beef, chicken or beef entree, and a glass of wine. Transportation to and from the theatre is also supplied.
