Making Fit More Fun
West Fitness Introduces Four New Resources

The Missouri Athletic Club is always trying to improve your member experience. That's why the M.A.C. West fitness facility is proud to introduce some valuable new amenities. West athletics now has an on-site nutritionist, a new massage therapist and two new fitness classes, PUMP and Boot Camp. Take advantage of the valuable new resources created especially for you, the member.

NEW Dietitian: David Vandeen
Get your diet on the right track with David Vandeen, a registered and licensed dietician. David can help integrate a nutrition and exercise program that's perfect for you.

David specializes in weight loss and sports nutrition. Members with diabetes, high blood pressure or some other harmful medical condition will find David’s expertise particularly useful. He is a certified personal trainer, a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a recipient of a Masters of Science degree in nutrition and physical performance from St. Louis University. He ran the corporate wellness program at DaimlerChrysler for 10 years and has served as a volunteer clinical faculty member for SLU. David has played soccer, baseball and football, raced bicycles and competed in five body bodybuilding contests.

David will be available for nutritional information consults at the West Fitness Desk:
- Tuesdays, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to noon
- First Saturday of each month, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
- Each one-hour session is $38.50 per hour
- Clients can book individual one hour nutrition sessions by contacting Fitness Supervisor Becky Keightley at 314-539-4428.

NEW Massage Therapist: Mark Lumpkin

Relieve you sore muscles and give yourself a break with a visit to Massage Therapist Mark Lumpkin at the West Clubhouse. Mark is AMTA certified with 15 years of professional experience working with Olympic/national level athletes and instructing massage therapy courses. In addition to massage therapy, Mark is a personal trainer at the M.A.C. and an ISMETA trained movement therapist. His modalities range from subtle energy work to structural rehab: Swedish, Sports Massage/ROM, Structural Integration, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Cranial Sacral, Zero Balancing, Reiki, Hot Stones and Pregnancy Massage. Mark integrates the science and art of touch to meet the client’s needs.

PUMP and Boot Camp

P-U-M-P
Get ready for swimsuit season with Pump Up your
Muscle Power. This new 45-minute endurance strength training program is all about light resistance with increased repetitions. The use of balls, bands, and bars in this class will provide you with a total body workout that will show you results!
Date: Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 4:30 p.m., starting April 2
Instructor: Marty Murphy
Price: Included in Diamond Club Membership
Non-Diamond Club members: $5 per class or $30 per month

Boot Camp
This fast-paced, action-packed, high-energy class combines sports drills with resistance training. It will build strength, agility and cardiovascular fitness while conditioning you to reach your ultimate potential. It’s like a double shot of espresso!
Date: Saturdays at 1 p.m., begins April 7
Instructor: Paul Helfrich
Price: Included in Diamond Club Membership
Non-Diamond Club members: $ 5 per class or $30 per month
