of the Year
If
you haven’t gotten your vote in yet for Sports Personality
of the Year, you’ll want to send it in as soon as possible.
Three candidates are deadlocked in the closest vote in the awards
history. Every vote counts! All votes must be received by Thursday,
Oct. 25 by 5 p.m. Be sure to tune in to the Buffet on Monday, Nov.
5 for the unveiling of the winner. The victorious candidate and
many other distinguished members of the St. Louis sports community
will be honored at the Jack Buck Sports Awards on Wednesday, Dec.
12. This event is always a sellout and lots of reservations have

Veterans
Day Commemoration
A
special time is set aside each year to honor those men and women
who have served our country. Come to the MAC on Thursday, Nov.
8 to show your support and thanks to those veterans at the MAC’s
Veterans Day Commemoration. This year’s guest speaker will
be Mr. David Unterwagner, the director of the regional VA office.
Mr. Unterwagner has worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs
for over 33 years now. He most specifically works with the Veterans
Benefits Administration. The commemoration begins at 11:15 a.m.
with military exhibits and a cash bar. Lunch will be served at
noon, followed by the program at 12:30 p.m. To make your reservation,

Dance!
Dance! Dance!
Whether you have a natural dancer's grace or have two left feet,
the Missouri Athletic Club's ballroom dancing class is fun for anyone.
This five-week beginner, intermediate and advanced group dance class
will feature the most popular ballroom dances. The class begins
on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and continues every Tuesday through Dec. 4.
Each two-and-a-half hour class will be divided into three 45-minute
segments that will teach you the proper way to perform a classic
ballroom dance. To teach the class, the MAC has welcomed back Instructor
Susan Nyemchek, an accomplished professional ballroom dance instructor
with ten years experience in national competition.

Feast
like a king on a four-course lobster dinner during select weeks
in October and November. Come to the Jack Buck Grille/Rendezvous

Pilot with over 9800 hours of flying time. During World War 2 he was shot
down four times and spent 3 ½ years in a German Stalag. Colonel
Blake flew 117 combat missions in Korea and 128 combat missions in Viet
Nam.

Racquetball Clinics Polish
up your racquetball skills with the #2 Women's Pro Cheryl Guidinas.
Cheryl will be teaching a ladies clinic on Oct. 24 and a clinic for
all levels on Oct. 25 both at MAC West. Clinics will consist of Q&As,
Play analysis, strength and conditioning, drills, psychology of the
game, game strategies and play the pro. Both nights will be from 5:30-8
