Dessert Sale
While you’re running around getting all of the gifts on your list, the last thing on your mind is what you’ll actually be serving over the holidays. Keep those thoughts in the back of your mind by ordering your holiday desserts from the MAC. The Downtown Clubhouse will be selling desserts through the holiday season. Each delicious dessert is carefully crafted by one of the Club’s pastry chefs. You’re guests will never know it wasn’t homemade. For $10 you can purchase a pumpkin pie, chocolate silk pie, minced meat strudel or bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie. For $20, a flourless hazelnut torte, an apple buttermilk torte, a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake or a black forest torte are available. The MAC requires 72 hours notice on all orders. No exceptions! To make your dessert order, call Stephanie at 314-539-4470.

Give an MAC Holiday Gift Certificate
With all of the holiday events happening at the MAC this month, it will be easy for you to stop in and pick up a gift certificate for someone on your list. Gift certificates are available to almost everything you could want at the Club. You can purchase a gift certificate for the Pro Shop, a massage, a personal training session, a manicure or pedicure, membership, one of the four great restaurants at the Club and much more. It is an easy way to finish up your Christmas shopping, and the people on your list will surely appreciate the chance to spend more time at the Club. To purchase a gift certificate to the Downtown Clubhouse, call the Accounting Department at 314-539-4432. To purchase a gift certificate to West, stop by the Pro Shop desk.

Swim Faster, Farther and Better
It’s hard to imagine sitting around the pool deck with the cold winter temperatures out now. But in just six months the pool at MAC West will be back open, and your kids will be eager to jump back in. Sign them up for a winter swim clinic to keep their swim skills strong and in their memories. The Downtown Clubhouse will be offering a free swim clinic for kids in first through eighth grades that already know how to swim, but would like to improve their technique. Instructor Richard Nix and his staff will once again teach the clinic. Classes will be held at the Downtown Clubhouse on Sundays, from 2 to 3 p.m. The six-week session will start on Jan. 6 and conclude on Feb. 10. The clinic is free, but space is limited. Call Rick Schneider at 314-539-4434 to reserve a spot today.

Get Your Kids Out of the House
Christmas break starts in just a few weeks. Avoid hearing your kids complaining they are bored with nothing to do. Sign them up for the Holiday Sports Camps at MAC West. The camps will be held Wednesday through Friday Dec. 26 – Jan. 4. There is a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon, an afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m. or an all day session from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes lunch. Campers will participate in sports such as basketball, soccer and flag football. Future cheerleaders will have the opportunity to learn some new moves and cheers. The cost of the morning or afternoon session is $65 for members and $85 for non-members. If your child wants to participate in the all day session the cost is $120 for members and $140 for non-members. You can register online at here, or call Tim Kelley at 314-539-4476.

Learn How to Grow Your Business and Referral Network
The Breakfast Network is being reorganized and will now be known as the MAC Business Development Group. The first meeting of the group will be on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 5:30 p.m. Downtown. The 60-minute meeting will feature two speakers, followed by networking over food and drink. The two featured speakers successfully changed careers to start new business endeavors. Brian Pultman, Senior Vice President Investments, originally started his career selling bath tubs. He now runs one of the top investment teams at A.G. Edwards representing over 700 families and $300 million of assets worldwide. Allen McNeill, President and Owner of “Thanks A Dozen” will speak how he left the printing business and built a successful promotional business based on helping companies market their products and services with customized tissue, donut, candy and pizza boxes. If you are interested in joining the Business Development Group or you just want to come see what this CWC is all about, be sure to attend the meeting on Dec. 18. Guests are welcomed.
