Changes
to Campaign Process
The
annual season of campaigning for election to the Board of Governors
of the Club is fast approaching. It is one of the most exciting
times of the year at the Club. This year the Board has approved
certain changes to the campaigning process that should be noted
by potential candidates and campaign workers. All of the changes
are intended to make the campaigning a bit less cumbersome and allow
more members to be involved in an election process that is truly
unique among clubs.

The
MAC Wants you to Run for the Board
The
MAC Nominating Committee is currently seeking qualified candidates
for the Board of Governors election. The MAC would like you to consider
or someone you know as a possible board candidate. Serving on the
board is the most rewarding experience offered here at the Club,
and in the end, you'll receive much more than you give. The information
packets, which include a letter of intent, biography and photograph,
for running for the board are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 17
to Patti Cundiff.

Charitable
Society Reveals New Charities
The
Charitable Society has announced the 2008 charities that MAC members
and employees are encouraged to donate to. This year's beneficiaries
are, Sunnyhill Adventures provides customized residential and
recreational programs that give children and adults with developmental
disabilities, who are in need of outside support, new challenges
and tools to achieve greater independence; Sherwood Forest Camp,
which provides key supports and opportunities for economically
disadvantaged youth to help them achieve long-term success and
leadership through summer camps; and Covenant House, which provides
shelter and supportive services to homeless, runaway and at risk
youth age 16-21, an age group that is too young for adult services
and too old for children's services. Last year the charitable
society, along with Club members and employees, donated over $10,000
to the selected charities. The Charitable Society is eager to
see this number increase for 2008. If you would like to join the
Charitable Society or make a donation, please click here.
