May Cherry Diamond
Ready, Set, Summer! Summer is right around the corner, which means no school, time at the pool and lots of fun festivities at the MAC. There is plenty to do to keep your kids busy over the months they are off school. From sports camps, to tennis lessons, to swim team, there won’t be a dull moment for kids at the MAC. Be sure to check out all of the summer fun information in this issue. May doesn’t just mark the opening of pools, it also celebrates a very special person in your life, your mom. Treat mom to the best brunch in town at the Mother’s Day brunch at the Downtown Clubhouse. She’ll feel like the queen for a day. Fathers, daughters, grandfathers and granddaughters also have an exciting and historic event in May, the Father/Daughter Banquet. This event has been taking place at the Club for over 60 years. Carriage rides, a fabulous dinner and dancing will all be part of a special night for the dads and daughters at the MAC. Things are just heating up at the Club. Don’t miss out!

Last Chance to Register for Swim Team
The final date to sign up for the MAC Swim and Dive team is on Thursday, May 1, at the West Poolside Café. The Club boasts one of the premier swim teams in the area. The summer swim team is a great way for your kids to meet new friends and stay in shape. There is the Red team, which is competitive, and the White and Blue team, which is a fun, non-competitive team that aims to improve a swimmer’s stroke skills and techniques. You can also sign your child up for the competitive Dive team. Novice divers are welcome and encouraged to join the team. If you have any questions, contact Tim Kelley at 314-539-4476.
Don't Miss out on Summer Basketball
Just because the NCAA tournament is over doesn’t mean the MAC basketball leagues are also in the off season. You can hoop it up all summer in two leagues at the Club. Keep your game sharp and stay in shape with the summer basketball leagues. The Downtown League will begin the week of June 2. The 10-week league is $60. The West League will be played on Thursday nights beginning June 5. You can sign up for either or both leagues through the MAC Web site. Click here to sign up. Deadline is May 12. If you have any questions about the Downtown League, contact Jeff Tuhro at 314-539-4485 and for the West League, contact Tim Kelley at 314-539-4476.

Capital Contribution Update
MAC West recently began a roof and A/C replacement project. This important work will greatly enhance the ability to heat and cool the clubhouse, particularly in fitness, gym/squash courts, racquetball/handball courts and the business center. Read the Buffet for updates on more Club improvements.
