Time
for Wine at West
Spend
a relaxing evening under the stars at a special wine tasting held
outside on the pool deck area at MAC West. On the third Friday of
every month, the West Clubhouse hosts a complimentary wine tasting.
The poolside wine tasting will be on Friday, June 20 from 5:30-7:30
p.m. Delicious complimentary hors d’oeuvres and fine wines
will be served. Mix and mingle with fellow members while enjoying
a fun night at the Club.

Racquetball
Upcoming Events
Racquetball
action is continuing all summer long at MAC West. There are several
opportunities for juniors to play and have extra instruction. A
juniors league will begin on June 25. Several kids have already
signed up for the league, so reserve your space now before they
are all filled up. There also will be a junior racquetball mini
camp July 17 & 18. Kids can learn the proper techniques, different
serves and how to utilize them. New league sessions for adults
begin July 7. The women’s racquetball league will begin in
fall on Thursday mornings.

Get
Fit! With the Newest Fitness Class Fit Camp
Get
Fit! Strengthen, condition, shape, tone and define muscles using
light to moderate weights with high repetitions in the newest fitness
class offered at the Downtown Clubhouse, Fit Camp. This total body
workout class will include the use of free weights, steps and stability
balls to work the major muscle groups in the body. The class appeals
to men and women from beginners to the conditioned athlete. Class
will be held on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. beginning on Monday,
July 7. No reservations are necessary. For more information please

Aviation
Club Event
The MAC Aviation Club has invited members of the Military History
Club to join them in visiting the Boeing Prologue Room on June 24.
The Prologue Room is a visual display of Boeing/McDonnell Douglas
history from it’s inception through the space age. If you have
an interest in aviation or history, it is an extremely interesting
place to visit. The cost of the outing will be $20.00 per person.
The group plans to meet at the MAC Downtown Clubhouse between 6
and 6:15 p.m., will depart for Boeing via the MAC bus at 6:15 p.m.
and arrive approximately at 7 p.m. An hour and a half reception
will follow with complimentary beer and wine service provided by Boeing
and hors d’oeuvres by the MAC Aviation Club. During the reception,
Bob Craighead, formerly with Boeing, will give a tour of the Prologue
Room. Joe Dobronski, former Chief Test Pilot for Boeing, is expected
to attend and be available to chat with everyone. At the conclusion
of the reception, the group will return to the MAC and arrive approximately
at 9 p.m. Dinner in the Jack Buck Grille is at the discretion of
each individual. Interested persons may also travel by private vehicle.

Celebrate
the 4th at the MAC
The
MAC is your official patriotic spot to celebrate the 4th of July.
Both Clubhouses have several different activities throughout the
day for you to make the most of your 4th festivities. Begin your
day with breakfast at the Downtown Clubhouse before catching the
VP Parade from VIP seating. MAC members and guests will have a special
bleacher section to themselves for prime viewing of the parade.
The bleachers will be set up on the north side of Washington Ave.,
west of the Valet parking entrance. If you’re staying downtown
following the parade, make the MAC your drink and dining headquarters
for the day. The Sportsman’s Club and Jack Buck Grille will
open throughout the day for lunch, dinner and drinks. After the
parade, head to MAC West for a poolside party. There will be plenty
of games and prizes for the kids, plus food and refreshing drinks
for everyone. Stay cool at the MAC West pool. The pool party is
from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The price for adults is $20. Children
age 3-12 cost $12. For reservations call 314-539-4490.

Dr. Judith McKelvey will present a collection of original songs and
videos specially written for the active senior. You will see jolly puppets
singing their hearts out in the video epic Nursing Home: The Musical.
Songs range from Friends Are the Bookends of Life to the sorrowful Too
Many Pills and ending in the upbeat romantic Twilight Love. Dr. McKelvey
is a graduate of Washington University with further training at the University
of Rochester School of Medicine as well as Chicago, Michigan, Yale and
UCLA universities. She served a Chief of Child Psychiatry at the University
of Texas Health Science Center. Now she has joined with a group of her
peers to develop videos and songs with the message “Growin’
Old Ain't So Bad.”
