4th of July
The only place to be this Friday to celebrate the 4th of July is at the MAC. From special parade seating to delicious meals and dips in the pool, the MAC is your 4th of July headquarters. Begin your day with breakfast at the Downtown Clubhouse before catching the VP Parade from VIP seating. MAC members and guests will have a special bleacher section to themselves for prime viewing of the parade. The bleachers will be set up on the north side of Washington Ave., west of the Valet parking entrance. If you’re staying downtown following the parade, make the MAC your drink and dining headquarters for the day. The Sportsman’s Club and Jack Buck Grille will open throughout the day for lunch, dinner and drinks. **NOTE: Members and guests are required to wear a wristband on the day of the VP Parade. Wristbands are now available at the downtown Front Desk. Members can get eight wristbands in advance and additional wristbands can be obtained the day of the parade. After the parade, head to MAC West for a poolside party. There will be plenty of games and prizes for the kids, plus food and refreshing drinks for everyone. Stay cool at the MAC West pool. The pool party is from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The price for adults is $20. Children age 3-12 cost $12. For reservations call 314-539-4490.

Ballroom Dance
Put on your dancing shoes and hit the dance floor for Ballroom Dance Lessons at the MAC. A new session of lessons taught by professional ballroom dance instructor Susan Nyemchek will begin on July 22. Learn and perfect the cha cha, swing dance, waltz, rumba, foxtrot, tango and meringue. Lessons begin at 7 p.m. and go until 9:30 p.m., with the last part of the lesson for more advanced moves. Beginners are welcome to participate in the more advanced steps or just watch. Dance lessons are a great way to meet member of the Club and form friendships. Lessons will be held every Tuesday for 4 weeks. The price for Dance Club members is $40, inclusive per person. Live Off the Levee Room Special
Spend your summer nights downtown at Live Off the Levee. Every Friday and Saturday Night in July. Live Off the Levee will feature entertainment, food and drink. The site is just a short distance from the Club. Stop by before or after for dinner and drinks, or stay the night at the Club with the Live Off the Levee Room Special. Beginning July 5, you can stay at the Club for $60, per night on Live Off the Levee nights. To reserve a room, call the MAC at 314-231-7220.

Riding Opportunity
If you or your kids are looking for a new leisurely activity to enjoy this summer, take up horse back riding. The MAC along with Castlewood Stables is now offering a unique opportunity for members to receive discounted prices for riding, lessons, boarding and family days at Castlewood Stables. Castlewood can host a family day at the stable with pony rides, relay races on horses, buggy rides, hay rides and barbeques. They can also accom modate company picnics or outings and can even partner with a traveling petting zoo for an added activity. Horse back riding is a great activity to get the children involved in.

Fit Camp!
Shape up before your summer vacation at the newest fitness class offered at the Downtown Clubhouse, Fit Camp. Fit camp focuses on strengthening, conditioning, shaping, toning and defining muscles using light to moderate weights with high repetitions. This total body workout class will include the use of free weights, steps and stability balls to work the major muscle groups in the body. The class appeals to men and women from beginners to the conditioned athlete. Class will be held on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. beginning on Monday, July 7. No reservations are necessary. Athletic Department Closure The Downtown Athletic Department will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of 4th of July.

Lacrosse Camp Change The MAC Lacrosse camp scheduled to start Monday, July 7, will now be Monday, July 14-17, from 1-4 p.m. The cost to attend is $95 for MAC members and $125 for member's guests. The camp is taught by Mike Donio, Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach at CBC. If you are interested, please contact Tim Kelley at 314-539-4476.

Cardinals Dining The Cardinals will be in town all this week. Before heading down to the Stadium, stop by the Club for a bite to eat and a few drinks. The Jack Buck Grille features a Pasta Dining Station on afternoon game days beginning at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy made to order pasta and tossed salad for only $17.50 per person.
