Member Accomplishments and Achievements
Volunteering has always been a part of MAC member Skip Jacoby’s life, and recently he was recognized by Governor Matt Blunt for his volunteer work. He has been extensively involved with the Catholic Youth Council (CYC) and the Boy Scouts and sees his involvement with these organizations important for the young people and the adult volunteers he works with. Jacoby has served on the Advisory Board of Directors for the CYC for 25 years. He is currently the Board President of the CYC Board of Directors.
In addition to his service to the CYC, Jacoby has also been a scout leader for 38 years. He got into scouting when his son joined as a child. Both of his sons and most recently his grandson have all been scouts. Jacoby has been awarded scouting honors such as the Scouters Key, the Commissioners Key, the Explorers Key and the Woodbadge beads. He’s been awarded the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. The Catholic Committee on Scouting awarded him with the Trail Blazer Award, the Bronze Pelican and the St. George Medals. Jacoby continues to pour his free time into volunteering. The community has greatly benefited from his efforts.

The MAC encourages any member who has received a distinguished award, honor or achievement to share it with us, and we will share it with the membership. Send any information to mdean@mac-stl.org, and be sure to check future issues of the Buffet for more member accomplishments and achievements.
