MAC Video Spotlight
The MAC recently recognized 10 members who were inducted into the 50-year Club. New inductees, guests and 50-year members socialized at a cocktail hour before sitting down to a delicious dinner. Following dinner, each member was presented with a gold pin commemorating their 50th year as a member. President Schwarz sat down with several of the 50-year members and asked them to share some of their favorite memories from over the years. You can view these videos on the MAC Web site by clicking here. Be sure to check the Buffet for more MAC Video Spotlights. |

Arch Rivalry Showdown
This year’s Arch Rivalry game is one of the most anticipated sporting events this year in St. Louis. On Saturday, Aug. 30, the Missouri Tigers and Fighting Illini will kick off their 2008 season at 7:30 p.m. at the Edward Jones Dome. The game is already a sellout and is sure to be action packed as both teams are coming off exceptional 2007 seasons. The Tigers were victorious in last year’s Arch Rivalry game 40-34, making their lead in the series 14-7 against the Illini. Pinkel’s Tigers finished strong in 2007 with a record of 12-2. They also captured the Big North championship and were victorious in the Cotton Bowl. They are expected to do big things again this season. The Illini also had a great season in 2007. They had nine wins and went to the Rose Bowl.
If you’re planning on heading to the Dome to root for the Tigers or the Illini, stop by the Club from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Sportsman's Club for a delicious dinner buffet for only $25.95. The Club is just a short walk from the Dome and is a convenient stop for a quick meal. For reservations, call Stephanie at 314-539-4470. |

This month’s FYC meeting gives us an opportunity to learn more about the important work being done by the MAC Charitable Society. We’ll hear from representatives of the three community agencies selected for support in 2008: Covenant House, Sherwood Forest Camp and Sunnyhill. Each year the Charitable Society evaluates nondenominational agencies serving children recommended by MAC members and staff. The Society board narrows the field and forwards its comments to the MAC board, which selects three award recipients for the year. The MAC Charitable Society program is funded by monthly and one-time gifts from members and staff as well as special fund raising events
