New Fitness Class: Hard-Body Yoga
Do you ever feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day? You want time to yourself to exercise and relax, but with kids, work and all of the daily chores you’re responsible for, it is sometimes hard to fit it all in. The Downtown Clubhouse is offering a new fitness class that can help you get in a quality workout in a small amount of time. Hard-Body Yoga will begin on Monday, Nov. 3, at 5:30 p.m. The class will be taught by Katie Ronshausen.
Katie Ronshausen is an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Katie is a busy mom with little extra time on her hands to fit in a full workout schedule of strength training, cardio and flexibility, which are all important components to an optimal level of fitness. Hard-Body Yoga is unlike your typical yoga class. If you want to develop a strong, lean, flexible body without spending hours in the gym every day, this is your solution! Hard-Body Yoga combines strength training with yoga technique to create a strong physique in a one hour class. During this class you'll work every major muscle group several times over without ever having to pick up a single weight. All you need is your body, an open mind and a yoga mat, and you'll discover what strong healthy bodies are made of!
No reservations are necessary. For more information, call Rick Schneider at 314-539-4434. |

If the state of the economy and the presidential sweepstakes haven’t given us enough to worry about as we approach Election Day, we have an important local financial decision to make on Nov. 4, as well. It’s Proposition M, calling on St. Louis County voters to approve a half-cent sales tax increase to help fund Metro. The Post-Dispatch has labeled Prop M a “sleeper issue,” as the majority of county residents have little contact with Metro’s trains and busses. But Metro warns that those who do, along with workers who depend on public transportation to get them to and from their jobs in St. Louis County, will have fewer options if the tax issue fails. What will the new funds be used for? Will routes be changed? To answer these and other questions will be the man who leads Metro’s route and schedule planning team, Todd Plesko, Chief of Planning and System Development.
