Share All the MAC has to Offer
If you received a platinum membership gift certificate last month, have you taken the opportunity to pass it along to a friend, family member or business associate? The platinum membership gift certificate program is taking off. Many members have already referred friends, family and business associates to join and are enjoying the benefit of having more friends around the Club. A membership to the Club is a gift that gives the recipient a feeling of camaraderie, a healthy lifestyle, opportunities for business networking, fun activities to become involved with and a place for the whole family to enjoy. The MAC is a place where people make lifelong friends, receive the best service and quality in town and become part of a historic tradition. The platinum membership gift certificate allows the recipient the opportunity to join the MAC with no initiation fee. This offer is valid from Dec. 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. If you received one of the platinum gift membership certificates, please give serious thought as to whom you would like to share this privilege. Once you have made the presentation, have the recipient contact the membership office at either the Downtown or West Clubhouse. All recipients of this certificate will enjoy membership in the MAC, minus the initiation fee, pending their approval by the MAC Board of Governors. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Tom Angus, Downtown (314-539-4486) or Julie Kueper, West (314-539-4408) in the membership office.

Be the MAC's Biggest Loser
Are you feeling the holiday bulge? Now that all of the festivities are over, it is time to get serious about your New Year’s fitness resolutions. Feel good about your goals to get in shape and lose weight by joining the MAC’s Biggest Loser Contest. A little friendly competition can help you stay motivated to meet your goals. Inspired by the hit NBC Show the Biggest Loser, in January, the MAC will be hosting its own version of the weight loss competition. Weight loss experts will provide direction throughout the process to help you see better results. The contest will begin on Monday, Jan. 12, and continue through April 10. The cost is $100 per person. This includes:
* Beginning and ending Health Assessments given by a certified personal trainer
* Four 1-hour “lectures/classes” covering nutrition given by a registered dietician
* Beginning and final weigh-ins
* Bi-weekly weigh-ins to track the status of all the contestants over the 13 weeks
You will be offered a discounted rate for every 1-hour personal training session you take during the competition dates. The winner of the contest will be the person who loses the most % of body weight, not the most pounds lost. Fabulous prizes will be presented to the winners. The deadline to sign up is today, Monday, Jan. 5. Sign up now to get on track to meet your fitness goals. The only thing you have to lose is weight! Members who work out at Downtown or West can participate. Call Rick Schneider at 314-539-4434 to sign up. |
