Membership Gift Certificate
Don’t forget about the Platinum Membership Gift Certificate that you may have received in December. This gift certificate can be given to family members, friends and business associates and allows them to join the Club with no initiation fee. This can be a savings of $1,000! After you have given some serious thought as to whom you’d like to share this special privilege, have the person you have selected to give your certificate to contact the Downtown or West membership office. Members are the lifeline of the Club and the pipeline to the next generation of membership. Being able to personally offer one family member, friend or business associate the opportunity to join the MAC with no initiation fee is a terrific value to you and the certificate recipient, but above all, it is good for the vitality of the Club. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Cindy Tangaro, Downtown (314-539-4448) or Julie Kueper, West (314-539-4408) in the membership office.

Battle of the Board Supports Charity
Head to West on Friday, Feb. 27, to watch Past MAC President Scott Engelbrecht and Governor Margaret May take on Governor Jim McMullin and his wife Mina in a Battle of the Board on the tennis courts. The players will be competing to raise money for the three charities selected by the Charitable Society for 2009, Angels’ Arms, CHADS Coalition for Mental Health and Lift For Life Gym. The three charities will be on hand to tell you more about what they do for the community and to answer any questions you may have. This is also a great opportunity to socialize and meet other members who are supporting the three charities. Games will begin at 6:30 p.m. and attendees should expect to see a few surprises including proper English tennis attire, a wooden tennis racket and even a “T-2000” aluminum racket make popular by Jimmy Connors. A professional exhibition will follow the main event.
