Be Well
Live your life to its fullest potential by practicing wellness. Wellness helps you achieve a balance between all aspects of your life so you can live the best life possible. The West Clubhouse is hosting a series of luncheons featuring speakers who are experts on various wellness topics. The Wellness Luncheons kick off on Thursday, April 23, with Julie Ashcroft, an aquatic physical therapist at ShowMe Aquatics and Fitness. Julie will be speaking on water wellness. Julie has a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University and has 10 years of experience in the health care industry. Be sure to make your reservations for the luncheon now to learn about the benefits of water exercise. As you age, you may begin to face problems staying active, particularly with aches and pains, less energy and less agility. Moving your exercise to the pool can ease some of your problems, making your workouts easier. Wellness luncheons are $15, inclusive per person and will be held at the West Clubhouse beginning at noon. For reservations, call 314-539-4490. Or you can sign up online. Sara Bryan Miller is the classical music writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Perhaps unusual for a music critic, she is a trained singer. Her reviews are leavened with an admixture of her practical experience and a compelling writing style. With the Symphony and other music groups announcing their fall seasons, she will have much to tell us. In addition, Ms. Miller has been reporting on the real possibility of St. Louis’ only classical music radio station, KFUO-FM, being sold and its format changed.
