Summer vacation is just weeks away, and the MAC is your place to be all summer long. Kids can get the ultimate camp experience at a variety of MAC sports camps at West. From specialty sports instruction to general camp activities, your youngsters won’t be bored this summer. Adults aren’t left out of the summer fun either; the MAC has a busy social schedule planned with wine events, brunches and family activities... The Club isn’t just a place to go for family fun. For many members, the Club plays a vital role in their professional lives. With over 15 elegantly appointed event and meeting rooms at the Downtown Clubhouse and five venues at the West Club, the MAC is THE place to conduct business… This month the Cherry Diamond features a new menu item of the month in the dining section. This month’s item is the Fried Sole Sandwich offered at the Downtown Clubhouse. Be looking for future dining items in each issue… Baseball season is now in full swing. The MAC is your pre and post-game headquarters for all games this season. The Jack Buck Grille will feature dining specials and the shuttle can get you to the stadium to avoid traffic headaches… With everything that is going on at the Club during the summer it is important to stay connected. This month’s Cherry Diamond features a guide to help you stay up-to-date on vital information at the Club. Experience MAC Election Excitement
Be a part of one of the greatest traditions at the MAC, Election Day. For decades members have gathered in the Downtown lobby to cast their vote and select the next class of the Board of Governors. Don’t forget to get out and vote! On Thursday, May 7, members will again fill the lobby and walk through the famed gauntlet amidst campaign promises and handshakes. All members are encouraged to come to the Club and vote in person on May 7. Members must have their membership card with them to enter the Club on Election Day. Polls will open at the Downtown Clubhouse at 7 a.m. and stay open until 6:30 p.m. A complimentary buffet dinner will be served in the Missouri and Eads Rooms from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Please call 314-539-4470 for reservations. Come share in the camaraderie with fellow members, and help shape the future of the Club.
The Annual Business Meeting will be on Thursday, May 14. Club members are invited to attend this meeting to discuss current issues pertaining to the MAC and Board of Governors. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Crystal Room.

Mother's Day Brunch
One of the best gifts you can give mom this Mother’s Day is togetherness, and a delicious brunch isn’t a bad idea either. Why not give her both by rounding up the whole family and treating mom to the best brunch in town at the Downtown Clubhouse on Sunday, May 10? The scrumptious buffet will include savory entrees, fresh fruits and rich desserts. Family photos will be taken in the Art Lounge, so get dressed your best and bring a big smile for a family pic. Seatings will be available in the Missouri Room and the Crystal Room from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost to attend is $29.95, plus gratuity for adults and $13.95, plus gratuity for children ages 4-12. Family Festival
Make plans now for the ultimate day of fun at MAC West. On Saturday, May 2, West will host a FREE family play day with activities for everyone. Bring out family members, friends and neighbors to Family Festival. Work on your skills in tennis, squash and racquetball with Club pros, play a variety of carnival games and you may even walk away with a few prizes. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you and your family and guests can also participate in fitness activities and socialize for FREE! There are no charges to participate in any of the activities and no guest fees. Kentucky Derby fans don’t have to miss a minute of the action. The West banquet room will have TVs set up showing the Derby. Complimentary child care will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pool deck will be open, weather permitting, and a wine tasting will be offered. After a day of play, everyone is sure to be hungry. A delicious buffet featuring St. Louis style ribs, brats, burgers, other barbeque favorites and all soft drinks will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for only $10. Casa Loma Ballroom Outing
Dine, dance and discover how fun ballroom dancing can be on Friday, May 15, at an evening out at the Casa Loma Ballroom sponsored by the MAC Dinner Dance Club. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a three-course dinner in the Jack Buck Grille. The meal includes an entree, salad, dessert and one glass of house wine. At 8 p.m., the group will depart for Casa Loma via the MAC Shuttle and dance at the ballroom until 10:30 p.m. Try something new. Instead of your normal dinner and a movie routine, give the Casa Loma outing a try. The cost is $35, per person plus gratuity. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear comfortable dancing attire. Graduates Brunch
After the pomp and circumstance, celebrate the graduate with brunch at the West Clubhouse. On Sunday, May 16, the West Clubhouse will host a Graduates Brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fare will include breakfast and brunch items. The cost is $20 for adults and $12 for children. Summer Basketball Sign Ups Summer League basketball sign ups are currently underway. The Downtown League will begin the week of June 1. The West League will be played on Thursday nights beginning June 4. You can sign up for either or both leagues through the MAC Web site. Click here to sign up. The deadline to sign up is May 17. Lunch and Tour Group Outing The Lunch and Tour Group is heading south! On Thursday, May 14, the group will take a trip to Kimmswick, Mo., located 25 miles south of downtown St. Louis, to visit the Anheuser Estate. The Lunch and Tour Group was previously the Cherry Hatters CWC. The group will enjoy lunch at the Blue Owl Restaurant prior to the estate tour. The tour will leave from MAC West at 10 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. The total cost will be $37 per person. The Lunch and Tour group welcomes all ladies to join them. Invite your friends and come along. There will be plenty of time to visit on the ride down and back. Hard-Body Yoga Time Change Beginning Monday, May 4, Hard-Body Yoga will be held at 5:45 p.m. (instead of 5:30 p.m.). Hard-Body Yoga is unlike your typical yoga class. The class combines strength training with yoga technique to create a strong physique in a one-hour class. During this class you will work every major muscle group several times over without ever having to pick up a single weight. All you need is your body, an open mind and a yoga mat, and you will discover what strong healthy bodies are made of! No reservations are necessary.
