Father-Daughter Banquet
The annual Father-Daughter Banquet has been a Club tradition since 1947. It’s an evening where daughters get dressed in their fanciest party dresses, fix their hair in pretty updos and maybe even put on a little make up to share a special evening with their fathers. This year, dads and daughters will again have an evening together at the Club at the Father-Daughter Banquet on Wednesday, May 20. Fathers, daughters, grandfathers and granddaughters are all invited to share an exclusive evening at the Club together. This year’s banquet will again feature carriage rides around town where daughters will feel just like princesses. Carriage ride reservations can be made by calling 314-539-4470. Reservations are required and must be made in advance. Rides are $10 per person. After a delicious dinner, dads and daughters will hit the dance floor to entertainment by the Charles Glenn Band. At the end of the evening, each daughter will receive a special gift and a frame with a photo taken of them with their father. The evening will begin with a reception from 5:30-7 p.m. for pictures and carriage rides. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and dancing will follow from 8-10 p.m. The cost to attend is $29.95, plus gratuity ages 12 and over and $23.95, plus gratuity for ages 11 and under. For reservations, please call 314-539-4470. Or you can register online. Click here to enter the member login area.

Golf Classic
Get out and hit the links with your fellow members while supporting a great Club cause, the MAC Preservation Foundation, at the MAC Golf Classic. This year’s Golf Classic date is set for Aug. 31, and will be hosted again by the Country Club at the Legends. Last year, the inaugural event attracted more than 100 golfers, helping to raise awareness and more than $50,000 for the MAC Preservation Foundation. Planning has begun to make the second MAC Golf Classic bigger and better. If you would like to help the effort by being a part of the host committee, please contact Past President Rick Lodewyck at 314-446-3502 or lodewyck@cdgengineers.com. The MAC Preservation Foundation is chaired by Past President Don Gunn and co-chaired by Past Presidents Gerry Ortbals and Kim Tucci. The Preservation Foundation has commissioned the “Our Club Forever” capital campaign to raise the funds necessary for a major renovation that includes important life safety issues and upgrades to facilities that will position the Downtown MAC Clubhouse to best serve members today and tomorrow. |
