Red, White, Blue and the MAC
Show your patriotism and celebrate the 4th of July at the MAC. There are a variety of activities happening at the Club for everyone in the family to enjoy...
- On Friday, July 3, bring the whole family down to enjoy the Fair St. Louis activities. The Downtown Clubhouse will have children's activities from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Art Lounge. Drop your kids off and enjoy the activities Downtown. Children will have activities and movies. The minimum age is 5. Families will only be able to participate with reservations. Grab a bite to eat and then head out the front door of the Clubhouse to get one of the best seats in town to watch the VP Parade. A special section will be blocked off exclusively for MAC members and their guests. NEW...This year the MAC will be offering a breakfast buffet in the Missouri Room before the parade. The buffet will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. The cost for adults is $16.95. Children age 3-12 are $13.95. Call 314-539-4470 for reservations.

The Downtown Clubhouse will also offer a lunch in the Jack Buck Grille from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you plan on spending the day downtown for all the 4th festivities, have dinner at the Downtown Clubhouse in the Sportsman’s Club. There is a dinner buffet from 5-8 p.m. Breakfast and dinner reservations are suggested. Call 314-539-4470 for reservations.

If you’re looking for a cooler way to celebrate the 4th, suit up and head to West for the 4th of July Pool Party. There will be games and prizes for the kids, plus plenty of food and beverages for all. The pool party will be from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The cost for adults is $20 and for children age 3-12 is $12. Sushi and Riesling at West
There’s no better place to spend a Saturday evening than sitting poolside sipping wine. On Saturday, July 18, the West Clubhouse will be hosting a Sushi and Riesling tasting on the West pool deck. Riesling is a versatile wine for food pairing because of its balance of sugar and acidity. Sushi and Riesling work well as a pair. Sample this delicious duo at MAC West’s Sushi and Riesling Tasting. The tasting will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $30 per person or $25 per person for Wine Society members. For reservations, call 314-593-4490. Or you can register online. Youth Sports Camps at West
There is still time to sign your kids up for sports camps at MAC West. Camp sessions are held all throughout the summer. The MAC offers two unique camp experiences. Specialty sports camps allow your child to focus on a particular sport they are interested in to either improve their skills or learn something new. The Club’s summer specialty camps are taught by expert instructors who have competed and coached at a high level. Click here for information on specialty sports camps. If your child is looking for the ultimate camp experience, Camp MAC is the place to be! There are dozens of new and exciting activities for campers to participate in, so there is never a dull moment. Daily activities for campers age 5-12 include racquetball, squash and tennis instruction with pros, soccer, free time in the pool and arts and crafts. A dedicated staff of camp counselors and teaching professionals will help campers learn the proper skills and techniques in all areas. Camp meets Monday to Friday and there are several sessions available for sign up.

New Artist Featured in the MAC Gallery
Russell Irwin is the current featured artist in the MAC Art Gallery. This month Russell will be displaying his scenic pieces. He will also be at the Clubhouse demonstrating his technique. Be sure to stop in and take a peek at his unique and interesting works of art. The Art Gallery will also feature a blown glass display from Astral Glass. In July, Russell Irwin will be back in the Gallery with some of his baseball pieces and special pieces related to the All-Star Game. Catch a movie under the stars from the coolest seat in town, the MAC West pool. Bring a floatation device and dive on in to experience a movie like at the old drive-in theaters. The Dive-In Movie is a great way to share a fun evening with friends and family. The movie will begin at dusk. This free event includes popcorn and soda.

Bleachers will be set up on the north side of Washington Ave., west of the Valet parking entrance. Only MAC members and their guests will be allowed to sit on the bleachers.

This month's speaker will be Mr. Robert Panke. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. After graduation Bob completed Basic Pilot Training and then attended Advanced Fighter Aircraft Training in the F-4C "Phantom." In 1967, he volunteered for duty in Vietnam. During his service in Southeast Asia he flew over 200 combat missions in the F-4C from bases at Cam Rahn Bay, Danang and Udorn in Laos. Officer Panke was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for an air to ground support mission at Khe Sahn AFB during the 1968 TET Offensive.
