The MAC is not just your Club; it is your kids Club too! There are so many opportunities for your children to be involved in at the Club. This month, MAC West is starting a Kids Club and will offer your kids special dining opportunities, prizes and more. Trunk-R-Treat is coming up in just a few weeks. Dress your kids up in spooky, scary costumes and head to West. Kids at the MAC can do a lot more than just eat! After school sports programs are offered nearly every day of the week. The MAC is always a more fun place to come when you know your friends will be there…Kids aren’t the only ones who are going to have a good time this month at the MAC. There are plenty of activities for you as well. Throughout the month of October, the Jack Buck Grille is featuring weekend specials. Treat your spouse to an evening out or make reservations with friends. On Friday, Oct. 9, the Grille will feature Jazz with Chef Bart. Along with a delicious jazz-inspired three-course dinner, you and your guests will be entertained with jazz tunes from Millennium Live... The candidates for the prestigious Sports Personality of the Year are set. The winner, along with other distinguished members of the St. Louis sports community, will be honored at the 40th annual Jack Buck Sports Awards on Dec. 17… Fall is in full swing. Billikens Luncheon
Enjoy a delicious lunch and hear from one of college basketball’s coaching greats. St. Louis University basketball coach Rick Majerus will entertain and inform at the annual Billikens Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 22. The 2009-10 Billikens will feature returning standouts Kwamain Mitchell and Willie Reed along with a group of talented freshman. Get ready for an exciting season at the spectacular Chaifetz Arena. Fine Time with French Wines
More French wines are being incorporated into the wine lists at both Clubhouses. The MAC wants to equip you with the tools you need to order the right bottle of wine to compliment your meal. On Thursday, Oct. 22, a wine tasting event with Alan Unruh, from Stacole Imports, will be held in the Art Lounge Downtown. Alan will provide general knowledge about French wines and wine regions. A variety of dry and sweet wines will be tasted. All wines will also be available for purchase at discounted rates. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $20 per person. Fall Dinner Dance
There is still time to make your reservation for the Fall Dinner Dance this Friday, Oct. 2. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, which is cash bar. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. followed by dancing from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Chasers Fore. Stogie Club Oktoberfest
The world’s largest beer festival takes place over 16 days in Munich, Germany. Each year, Oktoberfest attracts millions of people who drink 1.5 million gallons of beer and eat 200,000 pairs of pork sausages. The MAC will be hosting a smaller version of this fall festival on Wednesday, Oct. 14. This event is sponsored by the Stogie Club and beings at 6 p.m. in the Sportman’s Club Downtown. You can sample specialty beers, enjoy a good cigar and nibble on traditional German Hors d’oeuvres. Beers will include Spaten, Paulaner, Warsteiner and more. Jazz with Chef Bart
Plan your next Friday evening out now by making your reservation for Jazz with Chef Bart on Friday, Oct. 9. Side Dishes

New Noon Yoga Session A new noon session is starting up Monday, Oct. 12, at the Downtown Clubhouse. The 8-week yoga session is held on Mondays and costs $50 for the session or $10 per class. Reservations can be made by calling Rick Schneider at 314-539-4434.
Body Composition Testing The West Clubhouse will be offering Hydrostatic body fat testing on Thursday, Oct. 8. The testing will be from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at West. The cost is $55 for the initial test and $35 for future tests. Contact the fitness desk at 314-539-4433 to make your appointment.

New Reciprocal Golf Agreement The MAC has entered into a new reciprocal agreement with the Panther Creek Country Club of Springfield, Illinois. You can now play the 18-hole Hale Irwin designed golf course, which is home of the LPGA State Farm Classic, practice on the best practice facilities in central Illinois and dine at the Club.
