March Cherry Diamond
Spring is finally upon us. There are so many activities and events to look forward to in the coming months at your Club. On March 1, the quest for supremacy will get underway, and the battle for number one will be on! Many of the Club’s sports disciplines will compete in the MAC Athletic Challenge to recruit new members to the MAC. If you participate in squash, basketball, tennis, racquetball, handball, golf or aquatics/swim team, show your support for your team. See page 9 for more details… As the temperatures continue to warm, golf season is just around the corner. Being a member of the MAC allows you to play at four top local courses with reduced rates and special privileges. Get ready to tee off by checking out page 17 for details… Get the whole family together to celebrate Easter at the MAC. The Easter Bunny will be visiting the Club twice this year. He will be at MAC West on Saturday, March 27, for breakfast, and Downtown on Sunday, April 4, for Easter Brunch. Don’t forget your camera to capture the great memories when your kids visit with him… One of the Club’s greatest and longest standing traditions is just around the corner. On May 6, experience MAC democracy in action at the Club’s Board of Governors Election. You have to attend Election Day Downtown to fully appreciate the process. As members walk through the famed voting gauntlet, Board candidates shake hands and plead for votes. If you need a little extra push to attend, the Club will serve a delicious free dinner. There is also a great attendance prize. One lucky member will win free dues for a year! See the complete election schedule on page 4. Stay up-to-date on everything else happening at your Club in March by checking out the Cherry Diamond.
