April Cherry Diamond
Now that spring is officially here, it’s time for Cardinals games, golf outings and family social time at both Clubhouses... April kicks off with the Cardinals home opener. There is no better place to head pre or post-game than the MAC. Stop in the Jack Buck Grille and try one of the Cardinals dining specials. You can also hop on the MAC shuttle right outside the Club entrance for a ride to the Stadium for most home games... Enjoy a day of fun at MAC West at the Family Play Day. There will be complimentary fun and games for the whole family... Be sure to stop in the Jack Buck Grille to sample the new bar menu. Many tasty options have been added...Golf season is teeing off and MAC members can now get in the swing. Be sure to check out the special MAC rates available at courses throughout the area... Continuing Professional Education Workshop

Openings still remain for the Continuing Professional Education Workshop at the Downtown Clubhouse on Tuesday, March 30. This valuable educational opportunity for lawyers and accountants is free. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn four hours CPE approved for Illinois and Missouri, four hours CLE in Illinois and Missouri and four hours of CE for Insurance and Financial professionals. You will not only listen to an informative educational component, but you will also have valuable networking opportunities. The workshop is free and will be limited to the first 100 participants who register. All members and their guests are welcome to attend. All topics are CPE and CLE approved. Celebrate Easter at the MAC
The Easter Bunny has been hard at work preparing for his big day at the MAC. He's even started leaving a few treats behind to get all the MAC members into the holiday spirit. Check out some of his creations to the right. The Easter Bunny will be hopping by the MAC two times this year. Don’t miss your opportunity to visit with him at MAC West or Downtown. Both Clubhouses will be serving up a delicious brunch spread. On Saturday, March 27, head to MAC West for Breakfast with the Bunny. Kids will have the opportunity to visit the Easter Bunny and do several arts and crafts projects. If you can’t make it to West, catch the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 4, at Easter Brunch Downtown where there will be a petting zoo. NCAA Championship Viewing

A new NCAA national champion will be crowned on Monday, April 5. Don’t miss any of the action as two teams square off for the title. Catch the game from the best seat in town in the Sportsman’s Club at the Downtown Clubhouse. The Stogie Club is sponsoring the NCAA Championship viewing. Several large screens will be set up in the Sportsman’s Club so there won’t be a bad seat in the house. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. A game time buffet will be set at 7:15 p.m. and the game is scheduled to tip off at approximately 8:20 p.m. The price includes the game time buffet, unlimited draft beer, raffle prizes and cigars (for Stogie Club members only). Cigars will be available by subscription for all other members and guests. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 314-539-4470. |

Apollos Spring Concert

The Apollos will take the stage on Friday, April 30, for their annual Spring concert. They will be backed by a 10-piece band. After the performance, the band will play for another two hours for dancing on the ballroom floor in the Missouri Room. This show will cap the 25 years that Music Director Greg Schweizer has led the men’s chorus. The musical selections in the show are some of the best work of the Apollos under his leadership. Familiar favorites on the program include: Moon River, Yesterday, Lullaby of Broadway, Tennessee Waltz, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, True Love, Blazing Saddles, It Don’t Mean a Thing (if it Ain’t Got that Swing), Bridge Over Troubled Water, What I Did for Love and many more. The show concludes with the classic big band sound of Sing, Sing, Sing. Reservations can be made through Stephanie in Catering at 314-539-4470. |

Sportsman's Club Regional Buffets
Every Tuesday and Thursday in March the culinary staff Downtown will create a special buffet that will feature regional cuisine. This Tuesday and Thursday, March 23 and 25, the Sportsman’s Club will serve up a taste of the New England states. Menu items will include Seafood Chowder, Baked Striped Bass with Tomatoes, Rosemary and Olives, Blue Cod with Herbed Bread Crumbs, Stuffed Clams, Mussels in White Wine, Once Turned Red Potatoes, Hush Puppies, Green Beans with Roasted Tomatoes and Mustard Seeds, Zucchini with Red Peppers and Onions and Blackberry Cobbler. The Rod and Gun Club is hosting a trout fishing outing at Maramec Spring Park on Friday, April 2. The day will begin at 5 a.m. when the group will meet to head to St. James. The meeting location will be at the commuter lot across from QuickTrip at Highway 44 and 109. Please arrive by 4:45 a.m. to load cars. The whistle will go off at 7 a.m. to begin fishing. The group will fish for a few hours, catch the limit and then tour the fish hatcheries and other sites around the park. Departure back to MAC West will be at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. and costs $16, inclusive. Chef Unger will prepare the fish. Call 314-539-4402 for reservations.

Catch SLU Basketball in the CBI Tournament Don't miss any of the Billikens bball action. Tickets are available for Round 2 on Monday, March 22. If SLU wins Round 2, tickets are also available for Round 3 on Wednesday, March 24. Swim Team Sign Ups The MAC Swim and Dive team is preparing to jump into action for the 2010 season. All interested participants must sign up at one of two sign up dates at MAC West. Women's Golf Clinic The MAC is offering a women’s 9-hole golf clinic at Creve Coeur Golf Course. The league will begin Wednesday, April 7, at 9:30 a.m. Instructional tips are available for an additional charge. There is a $75 registration fee. The cost is $14 per week for non-Creve Coeur residents, $12 per week for senior non-Creve Coeur residents,
$10 per week for Creve Coeur residents and
$9 per week for senior Creve Coeur residents. Cart fees are $7.
