AB Beer and Cheese Pairing

On Wednesday, June 30, George Reisch, a fifth generation brewmaster at Anheuser-Busch, will present a special AB beer and cheese pairing in the Art Lounge Downtown. Reisch is the Director of Brewmaster Outreach for Anheuser-Busch. He will pair Budweiser American Ale, Budweiser, Bud Light, Shock Top Belgian White, and Michelob Original Lager with specific cheeses during an informative session. The tasting and presentation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. For reservations, call 314-539-4470.

Lobsterfest
Bring your appetite to the Jack Buck Grille this summer. Executive Chef Bart Philipps is calling for fresh Maine lobster at Lobsterfest in the Grille in June and July. If you love lobster, then you can’t miss this delicious dining event, which features lobster prepared in a variety of different ways. This three-course feast is only $40 per person. Lobsterfest in the Jack Buck Grille will be on June 17, 18, 19 & 24, 25, 26 and July 15, 16, 17 & 22, 23, 24. Regular menu items are also available. Associates Poolside Happy Hour

Unwind with gorgeous weather and low-priced drinks on Thursday, June 24, at the MAC West poolside. Hosted by the Associates, the monthly happy hour finally moves outdoors. Stop by after work to meet and mingle with fellow members and take part in the incredible drink specials of $1 draft beers, $2 bottles and $3 wells. Aqua Zumba
Bring one of your favorite workouts to the pool this summer with Aqua Zumba. You’ll get twice the workout in half the time. Aqua Zumba is now being taught at MAC West on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. Work on aerobic endurance, muscular resistance, flexibility and joint mobility all at the same time. Enjoy a fantastic workout with some Latin rhythm. The class is being taught by Mary Niemann. Mary is a certified aquatic exercise associate and has been teaching water-related exercise classes since 2000. She is also a certified Zumba instructor. Lu will be offering insights into the business of Social Services. She will speak on what the Center has accomplished, how it differentiates itself from other social services and where the Center is going in the future. She will also introduce the Centers newest plans for offering programs to autistic adults, called the Midwest Adult Autism Project (MAAP).

Kids Eat Free Kids now eat free on Saturday evenings at West from 5 to 9 p.m. A family meal is a great way to end the day and spend some quality time together. West Fitness Hours The West fitness area will now be open until 10 p.m.

Pool Closing Just a reminder that the West Pool closes at 4 p.m. when there is a home swim meet. The pool will close at 4 p.m. today, Monday, June 14.

New Glen Echo Golf Opportunity MAC members who want to enjoy a round of golf at Glen Echo now have a special opportunity.
All-Day on Tuesday and Thursday, and after 1 p.m. on Saturdays, MAC members may play Glen Echo at the twilight golf rate of only $45. This is a $20 reduction from the normal weekday rate, and $30 off the weekend fee. Players may walk, or pay for a cart at $18.75 per player. The special will run through the end of August.
