4th of July Festivities
The holiday weekend will soon be upon us. Make sure your plans for the 4th include the MAC. The Club is offering terrific dining opportunities, awesome seats for the parade and the coolest pool party in town. The Downtown Clubhouse will be busy with lots of action on Saturday, July 3, and Sunday, July 4 with Fair St. Louis. Avoid the gridlock of traffic after the fireworks by staying overnight at the MAC. Also, stay overnight and be the first to get a choice spot for the parade. Remember that many streets close for the parade starting at 6:30 a.m. Overnight guests pay only $10 to park in the garage. After a day at the fair head to West to celebrate by the pool.

Glen Echo Golf Opportunity
MAC members who want to enjoy a round of golf at Glen Echo now have a special opportunity. All-Day on Tuesday and Thursday, and after 1 p.m. on Saturdays, MAC members may play Glen Echo at the twilight golf rate of only $45.  This is a $20 reduction from the normal weekday rate, and $30 off the weekend fee.  Players may walk, or pay for a cart at $18.75 per player.  The special will run through the end of August.

AB Beer Tasting

On Wednesday, June 30, George Reisch, a fifth generation brewmaster at Anheuser-Busch, will present a special AB beer and cheese pairing in the Art Lounge Downtown. BBQ Meals at West
Today is the first official day of summer. Besides vacations and trips to the pool, one of the highlights of summer is delicious barbeque. After a day at the pool or a round of golf, drop by the Stan Musial grille for a delicious barbeque combo meal. In June, July and August, West will offer barbeque value meals Monday though Thursdays. Salad and ice cream will be served as first and third courses. Prices vary depending on the main course you select. In June, entrée choices include baby back ribs, pulled chicken sandwich, smoked brisket or barbequed shrimp. July will feature pork steak, half chicken, barbequed bacon cheddar burger and cilantro lime scallops. The meal special will wrap up in August with pulled pork sandwich, chicken kabobs, Texas braised short ribs and barbequed salmon.
MAC Sprint Triathlon
Swim, bike and run for fun at the third annual MAC Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 28, at MAC West. All MAC athletes are welcome to compete. If you’re an experienced tri-athlete, this is your chance to show your stuff to fellow Club members. If you have never “tried a tri,” this will be a fun event to challenge yourself. The race begins with a 300-yard swim, followed by a 12-mile bike and concludes with a 3-mile run. The transition area will open at 6:30 a.m. A mandatory safety briefing will be held at 7 a.m. with the race beginning at 7:30 a.m. All members 16 and older are welcome to participate. Members who are participating are allowed to bring up to four guests. Sign up by calling Tonia at 314-539-4453. The entry fee is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.
Zumba Wednesdays at West
Ditch the workout, join the party! Zumba is the latest fitness trend to hit, and people can’t seem to get enough of it. Zumba fuses hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout.  Class routines include interval training sessions where fast and slow paced rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning away fat. Zumba will now be offered on Wednesday evenings at MAC West at 6:30 p.m. The class will be taught by Caitlin Corry. In addition to the Tuesday evening class, Zumba is also offered Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at West and Tuesdays at 5:45 p.m.
